Background
Rajan played a key role in the execution and operation of India's first IPP hydro plant, the 86 MW Malana I Hydroelectric Project. During his tenure at Hindustan Power, he initiated development of two hydroelectric projects in the remote regions of Himachal Pradesh, the 400 MW Seli HEP and the 120 MW Miyar HEP, securing all statutory clearances and completing land acquisition within a record two years. He has also played an active role in the company's mining business, contributing to the addition of high-grade coal mines to its energy and infrastructure portfolio.
