Rajarangamani Gopalan

Mr. Gopalan, an IAS officer from Tamilnadu, of 1976 batch has done his MPA from Harvard University, John F Kennedy School of Govt, USA, and M.A. in Economics from Boston University and Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Madras University. Mr. Gopalan held a number of positions in Govt. of India over a period of 23 years. He was a Member of Public Enterprises Selection Board. Also, he had held the positions of Secretary of Dept. of Economic Affairs and Dept. of Financial Services under Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. Prior to that, he acted as Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary in Department of Commerce, Ministry of Finance and Special Secretary of Finance Dept., Govt of Tamilnadu and Director of Dept. of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Govt of India. Also, he held the positions of CMD of Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation and Taminadu Newsprints and Papers Ltd., MD of TIDEL Park Ltd and Tamilnadu Agro industries Corporation Ltd
